I will be speaking at the DBT Conference hosted by the Florida Borderline Personality Disorder Association (FBPDA), in Clearwater, Florida on Friday, October 23, 2009. 

Other speakers will be presenting various topics on DBT, such as presenting the most recent research on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.  Topics I will present will include:

• Understanding the reasoning behind Wise Mind skills;  participants will be able to describe “how” and “what” skills, to be able to implement Mindfulness into private practice.
• Conceptualizing the behavioral and cognitive (”positive thinking”) skills, in order for the practitioner to be able to effectively answer client questions regarding how to implement the skills in private practice.
• Learn some DBT skills that I created!
